The First Ever Stern Pinball Factory Tour Video?

Earlier today I thought to myself, I wonder what would happen if I scrolled back to Stern Pinball's first Facebook post. Yes, these are the sorts of things that go through my mind lol.

So I figured out to go back in time...all the way back to September 22, 2009. The first post Stern Pinball ever made on Facebook was a link to its list of distributors. Meh. But the second post...now this is interesting!

Two days later, Stern shared a link to a YouTube video from June 17, 2006. The video was not on Stern's official YouTube page, but some page called "mpr933." It showed off Stern Pinball's The Simpsons Pinball Party (TSPP) on the production line at its factory, in glorious 240p lol.

Stern Pinball produced TSPP all the way back in 2003, I love being able to get a look at it being made. This is the earliest ever video of the Stern factory that I remember seeing and also the earliest one that shows up in a search of YouTube. I embedded the video below and captured a bunch of images from it to share here. They're a little fuzzy but super interesting, at least to me :). Compare this to the brand new Mega Factory that Stern is cranking games out at today.

Creation is at the center, Dordet says. "Sometimes it comes from design, sometimes from technical link innovation. Philippe [Delhotal] is constantly meeting people within the industry and developing mechanisms, often not knowing Metaverse Analog what to do with them when they've been made. But in this instance, Philippe had hoped to find a more classical complication to integrate into link our collection that has become known for experimentation."

I love that Gary Stern publicly expressed his disapproval for lack of diversity and seeing too many white people in pinball arcades over the years. Then you look at his factory for 20 years and go hmmm.

I don't think it was a disapproval, it was more, "Here's how we could grow the hobby by getting more people involved from more backgrounds" - an entirely reasonable take

Hey!! You may find that I FILMED on Hi 8mm the factory ALSO when the SIMPSONS was in production. This was made for me personally, as there was no YouTube or social networks to share the footage with at the time, but I always though it would be fun to have such footage! I also have other factory tours, WHEN THEY ALLOWED VIDEO CAMERAS for the Pinball Expo tours. You can find them all and 2200 other videos on the TNT Amusements Channel! Here is the video you all may find interesting...and certainly much clearer! Todd Tuckey

your videos are always interesting, todd, and the floating head for narration was fun and clever (and should be brought back!). it's cool seeing that king kong machine in play especially with the rumors that Stern will be putting out a new kong machine soon.
