This morning, Spooky Pinball unexpectedly revealed a brand new, higher-end interactive topper for its Scooby-Doo Pinball machine. The new topper features:
New custom artwork by artist Brad Duke
An interactive sliding bookcase mechanism sculpted by Back Alley Creations
A "secret" LCD video screen
An RGB LED light show, brand new villain footage from the episode "What the Hex is Going On"
Exclusive Villain Capture and multiball animations
An exclusive "Topper Hallway Chase Scooby Snack Video Mode"
And full interactivity with the game
The toppers are scheduled to begin shipping later this month. They are priced at $969 plus $70 for shipping.
Man, am I on the fence on this one. Part of me definitely thinks that this should have already come with my Collector's edition, but I'm assuming it was still in development. I wish it wasn't as cool as it seems, cause the decision would be way easier.
Biggest problem I have is what am I supposed to do with my existing topper if this was to replace it? That's the problem when you have a replacement instead of just a straight addition.
Hmmmmm.
