Random Stuff: New Pinball Machine from Barrels of Fun Coming Soon?; Stern Pinball John Wick Accessories Reveal & MORE Rumors

Another article so soon? A couple of odds and ends have dropped since my last post and I’m sitting in my car, many towns from home waiting for my youngest son who is at club lacrosse practice so I’ve got time.

First up, we have Barrels of Fun, maker of the Labrynth pinball machine. Barrels is conducting a factory tour for attendees of this weekend’s TWIPY awards ceremony at Wormhole Pinball. In a post on its Facebook page, they teased a “surprise” for people who go on the tour along with the picture below.

It sure sounds like the folks who go on the tour might get a peek at Barrels’ second game, or at least a hint about it. Hey Barells, you better show us too 😂. Hopefully we’ll get to see Game #2 soon.

"An Exciting Week Ahead!

The TWIPY Awards are happening this Saturday night at the Wormhole, and we couldn't be more thrilled!

We're rolling out the red carpet for ticket holders with an exclusive factory tour and some mouthwatering hometown BBQ. Plus, for those joining us on the tour… we’ve got a little surprise in store!

We can’t wait to chat, hang out, and celebrate with everyone. See you soon!"

This afternoon, Stern Pinball put a placeholder up on its YouTube page stating that the long-awaited John Wick pinball accessories will be revealed this Thursday, February 20th, at Noon Eastern.

The John Wick Pinball Accessories are coming...

Lastly, I have a stream of consciousness bullet point list of interesting pinball stuff that I’ve heard this week in conversations with knowledgeable people. They’re not full-fledged rumors but there’s some interesting stuff in there and some of it may even be right :)

  • I spoke with someone who has played American Pinball’s next game, Cuphead, who was absolutely raving about it. It’s definitely coming because AP is contractually obligated to pay a big penalty if it doesn’t.

  • Add two more guesses for Stern Pinball’s third cornerstone game of 2025. The two new rumors are that it’s based on the latest trilogy, Episodes 7, 8 and 9 or that it is based on Boba Fett. I’m still fairly certain it’s a new Star Wars pin, but I can’t seem to figure out exactly what.

  • Someone told me that TRON Remastered is basically done, but Stern has been sitting on it for some reason. Is this true? I don’t know.

  • I’ve heard from other people that the GI Joe rumor from the other day was correct.

  • Word is that distributors have a list a mile long for the Collector’s Edition of Jersey Jack, next game Harry Potter. I definitely think that the CEs will sell out.

  • Despite absolutely no chatter about it at all in months, someone told me that Pokémon is still coming from Stern.

  • Venom’s accessories have been delayed forever because the original design for the topper was a cool Liquid Metal-looking Venom Symbiot vial. The problem was that it caught on fire and the original design had to be scrapped.

Harry Potter details:

Three flippers

Hogwarts top corner but not loaded with toys

Game not ready for TPF expect it end of April/May

I’m not buying one as I’m no fan of HP.

Ooh. Thanks for the info. "Not loaded with toys" doesn't sound great. I never watched the movies or read the books, so I'm out as well.

Jjp doesn't have a prayer of living up to the homebrew HP at this point, I look forward to cuphead, Stern needs to concern themselves with code updates for existing machines before going too deep into this well, and twipys are a joke yet again... too many categories, and no one takes it seriously anymore. Scrap it, and do something new, under a new name with some legitimacy.
