Production of The Princess Bride Pinball Has Begun; More Information on Stern Pinball Jurassic Park Home Edition Plus; Crystal Castles & More

Multimorphic announced yesterday afternoon that it has begun production for its newest game The Princess Bride pinball. Its first batch of modules will enter final testing by the end of the week and begin shipping to customers early next week.

Stern Pinball now has a dedicated page up on its website for the new Costco Jurassic Park Home Edition Plus machine that we talked about a couple of days ago (thanks for the heads up, Winston!).

I have embedded the four and a half minute promo video for the game below. In addition to that video, the page includes installation videos and the game's instruction manual. I captured and shared pictures of inside the coin door that people have been asking about and the Insider Connected scanner.

Late yesterday, New Wave Toys, maker of the Replicade series of small-scale reproduction arcade cabinets, revealed its next game...the 1983 Atari game Crystal Castles. Crystal Castles' cabinet art is probably my favorite of all-time. It's absolutely beautiful.

The base cabinet is available for pre-sale for $199. The mini cabinet and large trackball stick bundle is currently on sale for $349.99.

Homepin shared pictures of it packing up a prototype Blues Brothers pinball machine for its pinball public debut at September's Newcastle Pinfest.

They also recently shared pricing information for the game for the United States and Europe. It looks like the price, including shipping to the United States is an impressive $4,800 if purchased prior to the end of the year.

"Many people are asking for pricing to other destinations. We have some shipping quotes. To most USA destinations US$4800 and most EU destinations EURO4350. These prices are LCL (sea freight) door to door. Please email with your full address and postcode so we can confirm this price for your specific destination to sales@homepin.com"

Blueberry Johnson on Pinside recently shared a link to the Open Source code for Blues Brothers. It says the following:

"This pinball Blues Brothers code is distributed in the hope that it

will be useful, but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied

warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. See the GNU General Public License for more details."

Here's the link for anyone who wants to get an early look at the game's code.
