Pinball in Paradise

Writer's picture: JasonJason

I don't do guest posts on this site very often, but my good friend and arcade road trip partner in crime Rob Miller recently found pinball in paradise and he wanted to share with us. Thanks Rob!

"Who doesn't like pinball, beer, and paradise? During a recent vacation to Hawaii with my wife, I was fortunate to visit the World's Westernmost Brewery - Kaua'i Island Brewing Co.

Located on Kaua'i in Port Allen, Kaua'i Island Brewing has the only publicly playable pinball machines on the island. Run by brewmaster and pinball aficionado Dave Curry, this island brewpub is not only home to some great craft brews and food, but it also features 11 pins to play in the upstairs gaming area. If you are planning a vacation to Kaua'i, I highly recommend that you check it out!

Happy hour generally runs from 3-5 PM and features several food and drink specials. Most of the food items are locally sourced and incorporate flavors of the island. It's a great way to experience some of the local flavor. There are also many different types of craft beer to try, which are sure to satisfy anyone's taste."

Here's the location's current pinball lineup according to Pinball Map:

1991 Williams Terminator 2: Judgement Day

1992 Bally The Addams Family

1992 Bally Creature from the Black Lagoon

1992 Williams Fish Tales

1993 Williams Indiana Jones: The Pinball Adventure

1995 Bally Theatre of Magic

2016 Chicago Gaming Company Medieval Madness Remake

2001 Stern Pinball Monopoly

2012 Stern Pinball X-Men Pro

2013 Stern Pinball Star Trek Pro

2013 Jersey Jack Pinball The Wizard of Oz

Great write up! Visited this place last time in Kauai. Super cool to finish up a boat ride with some beer and pinball!

Rad! As someone from Hawaii I’m always bummed to go home and be in a pinball desert (Oahu). Been meaning to check this place out. All that said, there is a community who compete in private home arcades. Someday if I move back we’ll def move our public arcade with us.
