At noon today, the European pinball manufacturer Pedretti Gaming shared an official teaser for its first of an announced series of licensed remakes of classic Bally Williams pinball machines, FunHouse. The 1990 Pat Lawlor-designed Williams FunHouse sold a whopping 10,751 units when it was original produced, yet it is so beloved by many that it is still in demand.
The game will be available in two trims, priced at $7,499 for the Classic version of the game and $9,999 for the Limited Edition. Art for the Limited Edition machine was done by Brian Allen of Flyland Designs. Brian has done official alternate translites and other artwork for a number of Bally Williams games over the past several years.
The machine will be manufactured at the Euro Pinball Corp factory in Italy. The playfields for the machines are being supplied by Classic Playfield Reproduction aka CPR. As usual with Bally Williams stuff, the rights for the game were obtained through Planetary Pinball. The remake is being sold in conjunction with the large Missouri arcade and pinball retailer The Pinball Company. This is actually not the first time that The Pinball Company has been involved in the launch of a game. Back in 2017, they developed a pinball machine based on the 1960s cartoon series The Jetsons.
I should have additional information about the game next week so make sure to check back here for that and all of the other real-time news about pinball and arcade stuff!
Is there a list of particular distributors that will be taken deposits?
How did the Jetsons get mixed up in this? 🤔
